This vintage authentic handmade 16 long 940 sterling silver necklace was designed c. 1940-50's by TAXCO, Mexico artist and Silver Smith Hector Aguilar (1905-86). There are 49 disks 5/8 in diameter. The necklace's weight is 72.2 grams. Beautiful condition & still has its patina. Each disk is connected to the next with a silver rivet giving the design an attractive & fluid movement. HA hallmarks read TAXCO HA 940 eagle #9. A similar necklace is pictured on p. 140 of Silver Masters of Mexico by Penny Morrill. This is a very rare necklace as I have done extensive searches and have not been able to find another one like it. Hector Aguilar, another Mexican silver designer and one of Spratling's disciples.
